Up to 10 winning teams will receive an equal share of the $50,000 prize pool.
Selection criteria
All eligible submissions will be evaluated by an independent judging panel. Judges will assign up to 5 points for each of the five selection criteria (for a total of up to 25 points).
The extent to which the solution demonstrates a clear understanding of how students at the entrant’s school currently explore career pathways and what barriers they face, such as gaps in information access, guidance, and employer connections.
The extent to which the solution addresses a meaningful gap in how CTE students at the entrant’s school currently explore and navigate in-demand careers and postsecondary opportunities.
The extent to which the solution presents a realistic approach to improving career exploration at the entrant’s school, and considers available resources, timeline, staffing, and long-term sustainability.
The extent to which the solution considers the local needs and broader ecosystem of the entrant’s school’s community, including employers, postsecondary institutions, community organizations, and cross-disciplinary collaboration across CTE programs.
The extent to which the solution demonstrates meaningful student involvement in design and development of the solution.
